ok, i understand the fugu (could potentially kill you) and the roadkill, but why the dislike for durian? that stuff is yummy (if you hold your nose)!
haha! you know, i used to hate durian as well but when i was in college, that's all i could ever find in my parent's fridge. being a broke as i was, i was willing to eat anything that was free (and wouldn't give me diarrhea.. sorry, TMI!). the first several times i had to make sure i held my nose and not breathe through it when eating durian. sometimes i threw it into the freezer, just to try to get around the smell/texture of it. obviously, it's an acquired taste :). i agree the smell is pretty rancid but once you can get past it (and i understand why most never do), good-quality durian is simply divine.
